Remote Sr. Data Analyst

Description:

• The Sr. Data Analyst role at Pinterest involves extracting, preparing, and wrangling large data sets for analysis using Structured Query Language (SQL) and Python.
• The position requires designing, leading, and executing experiments to uncover insights for best practices and generate proof points for Pinterest clients.
• Conducting deep-dive data analysis using quantitative methods and statistical approaches, including regression, clustering, and decision trees, is essential to uncover product insights and influence the product team.
• The analyst will build, maintain, and improve dashboards in Tableau, Superset, and other internal tools for both internal and external use cases.
• Automating existing analysis using Python, SQL, and other tools is necessary to enhance user self-service and improve team efficiency and productivity.
• Identifying operational pain points and using data to recommend strategic solutions at scale is a key responsibility.
• The role involves partnering with cross-functional teams, including sales, service, and product, to facilitate successful product and program launches.
• Recommendations for process changes, systems, and workflow automation to improve Pinterest services offered to advertisers are expected.
• Telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements:

• A Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a closely related quantitative discipline with one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related field is required, OR a Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in the same fields with five (5) years of progressively responsible experience.
• Special skills required include proficiency in Python, SQL, Hadoop, BigQuery, Data Visualization, ETL, A/B Testing, JavaScript, and both supervised and unsupervised machine learning.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
• Telecommuting is permitted.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is $180,046.00 - $236,000.00 per annum, with eligibility for equity.
