Remote Sr. Data Analyst, Commercial Analytics

Description:

• Varo’s Banking Analytics team is responsible for providing advanced quantitative analysis and actionable insights on customers and products in consumer banking and payments.
• The team focuses on optimizing customer onboarding and enhancing customer engagement through meaningful data insights across the customer lifecycle.
• As a Sr. Data Analyst, you will collaborate with colleagues in product, marketing, engineering, finance, and operations to analyze data from various business areas to improve products and experiences.
• The role requires conducting data analysis using advanced analytical and statistical approaches to make impactful business recommendations.
• You will develop a deep understanding of banking and commercial data, sharing insights on key metrics that drive the company.
• The position involves analyzing unit economics, understanding profitability drivers, and conducting analyses in areas such as commercial analytics, product feature analysis, forecasting, and experimentation.
• You will leverage forecasting and financial modeling to predict trends in transactional volume and other key financial KPIs.
• The role includes working with Finance, Product, and other teams to produce analyses for critical initiatives and new business opportunities, effectively communicating findings to stakeholders.
• You will create and automate reports, build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, addressing business priorities.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in an analytical role, providing business analysis, developing dashboards, and presenting results to leadership is required.
• Expertise in SQL for at least 4 years is mandatory, along with proficiency in Tableau or other BI tools; experience with R/Python is a significant plus.
• Experience in partnering with business units, articulating business questions, and using SQL/Python to extract data from datasets is essential.
• A background in experimentation, product analytics, measuring ROI of initiatives, and automating dashboards and reports to track business performance is required.
• Experience with financial modeling in banking or fintech is a plus, along with a proven track record of successfully communicating data-driven insights.
• A solid understanding of statistical analysis is necessary.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and business judgment are required.
• The ability to work independently, get things done, and maintain a high bias for action is essential.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $170,000 per year, based on function, level, and geographic location.
• Final offer amounts will be determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the identified range.
