Description:

  • The position is for a Sr. Data Analyst, which is temporary and full-time through September 30, 2025, with the possibility of conversion to permanent employment.
  • The role involves providing ongoing support and maintenance for a new Microsoft PowerApps tool for data entry and reporting of key division activities.
  • The Sr. Data Analyst will troubleshoot issues, perform bug fixes, and document future enhancements for the product backlog.
  • The position requires expert user support, including virtual engagement through platforms like Zoom and MS Teams, and creating documentation for user guides or training content.
  • Responsibilities include reporting to the Project Lead, working closely with the assigned Business Analyst, and engaging with client agency leaders and IT personnel.
  • The analyst will manage and maintain complex Microsoft 365 environments, install and configure Power BI Report server, and manage security and report delivery.
  • The role also involves preparing and delivering reports on system performance, security status, and compliance to management, as well as documenting and maintaining department policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must successfully complete a federal systems access background check.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field, along with 5 years of work experience in a senior data analyst role.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary to interface with other departments, client stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Candidates should have strong skills and experience in the Power Platform Suite, including Power Automate and Dataverse.
  • Overall experience in SharePoint, Access, the MS Power Platform, data analysis, data modeling, and architecture design is required.
  • Expertise in data governance, security protocols, and best practices for large-scale migrations is essential.
  • Advanced database administration and development skills, along with proficiency in managing external database connections, are necessary.
  • Strong ETL capabilities, proficiency in SQL, and extensive experience in data modeling and optimization are required.
  • Advanced knowledge of DAX, M language, and Power Query is essential, along with the ability to design complex data models and create sophisticated reports and dashboards.
  • Candidates must be able to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions and possess excellent communication skills for presenting to stakeholders.
