Lendistry’s data team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build high-quality, scalable, and resilient solutions that empower the business.
The data warehouse supports a variety of real-time, near real-time, and batch analytical solutions that are integral to business functions like Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Technology.
The role involves designing, developing, and scaling big data technologies in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines that produce reliable data for various use cases.
The candidate will design, implement, and maintain data tools to ensure data quality, governance, and compliance.
The role requires managing the data warehouse and various data sources, such as Salesforce and ERP.
The Senior Data Engineer will build and own automation and monitoring frameworks to showcase reliable metrics and operational KPIs.
The position requires being a subject matter expert (SME) for data, pipeline design, and related big data technologies.
The candidate will build and maintain data marts for various business needs and evaluate technologies and platforms for data solutions.
Understanding data governance practices is a plus, and fostering collaboration among globally distributed team members is essential.
The role emphasizes operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Experience with cloud-based warehouses is required.
A solid understanding of RDBMS concepts, data structures, and distributed data processing patterns is necessary.
Expertise in programming pipelines using languages like Python or Scala is essential.
Advanced knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly AWS, is required.
Experience in data integration with AWS Glue is necessary.
Proficiency in data warehousing with Redshift is required.
Familiarity with data orchestration and scheduling tools like Airflow is essential.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, BitBucket) and CI/CD tools is required.
A proven track record of building products on production-grade systems is necessary.
A BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Experience in the fintech industry is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong experience with data infrastructure, architecture, ETL, SQL, automation, and data frameworks is essential.
Proven operational skills to drive efficiency and speed, along with strong project management skills, are required.
