Description:

Vimeo is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer - Analytics to join the Data Architecture and Analytics Engineering team.
The role involves working closely with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to create and maintain robust, scalable, and sustainable data models that provide decision-making insights for senior leadership, including executives.
The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a bias for action and results, and have experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Responsibilities include building data models that support dynamic and efficient data analysis, collaborating with other teams to maintain and evolve those models over time, and ensuring alignment to coding standard methodologies while developing reusable code.
The candidate will partner with Data Analysts to understand business processes and identify opportunities for scalable and efficient data models for analysis and reporting.
The role also involves creating and enabling the generation of ad-hoc/on-demand data sets for use by analysts and data scientists, and working with Engineering teams to set up monitoring and alerting systems for business and product KPIs.

Requirements:

A BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
The candidate should have 5+ years of experience working with Analytics and Data Engineering teams, with a mixed data engineering and analytics background.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in scalable data architecture, fault-tolerant ETL, and monitoring of data quality in the cloud is necessary.
Experience in leading initiatives around data governance, master data management, data catalogs, and enterprise data warehouse architecture is preferred.
Strong analytical skills, data sensibility, and effective communication abilities are essential.
The candidate should be open to working on multiple projects simultaneously.
High proficiency in SQL, Python, dimensional modeling, data pipeline development, workflow management, orchestration tools, ETL optimization, and best practices is required.
Experience with Snowflake or other column-oriented and cloud-based databases, as well as relational databases, is necessary.

The targeted base salary range for this position is $122,400 to $187,000, depending on various factors including experience and skills.
