• The position is for a Sr. Data Engineer - Applications Mass Ingest Engineer at Extreme Networks, located in North Carolina, United States, with a full-time remote option.
• The role requires extensive experience in Informatica Cloud, focusing on Data and Application Ingestion.
• Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing ingestion pipelines using Informatica Cloud to ingest enterprise applications like Salesforce and Oracle Fusion into the Enterprise Data Lake in Snowflake.
• The engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• The role involves developing pipelines to meet business objectives and ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
• Integration of third-party systems and applications via REST APIs is also a key responsibility.
• The engineer will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data and application ingestion pipelines.
• Mentoring and guiding a small team of Informatica developers, providing technical oversight, and ensuring best practices is expected.
• Staying updated on the latest trends and advancements in Informatica and related technologies is essential.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required; certification in Informatica Cloud is a plus.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Informatica Cloud with a focus on Data and Application Ingestion is required.
• At least 3 years of experience designing ingestion pipelines based on business requirements is necessary.
• Hands-on experience in ingesting enterprise cloud and on-premise applications like Salesforce, Oracle Fusion Cloud, REST APIs, and Snowflake is required.
• Experience with handling various cloud and on-premise Databases/Data Warehouses like Snowflake and Oracle is necessary.
• Experience leading a small team of developers is a plus.
• Knowledge of Python and Snowflake is a plus.
• Experience in ingesting semi-structured and unstructured data is a plus.
