Description:

The position is for a Sr. Data Engineer - Applications Mass Ingest Engineer at Extreme Networks, located in North Carolina, United States, with a full-time remote option.
The role requires extensive experience in Informatica Cloud, focusing on Data and Application Ingestion.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing ingestion pipelines using Informatica Cloud to ingest enterprise applications like Salesforce and Oracle Fusion into the Enterprise Data Lake in Snowflake.
The engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
The role involves developing pipelines to meet business objectives and ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
Integration of third-party systems and applications via REST APIs is also a key responsibility.
The engineer will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data and application ingestion pipelines.
Mentoring and guiding a small team of Informatica developers, providing technical oversight, and ensuring best practices is expected.
Staying updated on the latest trends and advancements in Informatica and related technologies is essential.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required; certification in Informatica Cloud is a plus.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in Informatica Cloud with a focus on Data and Application Ingestion is required.
At least 3 years of experience designing ingestion pipelines based on business requirements is necessary.
Hands-on experience in ingesting enterprise cloud and on-premise applications like Salesforce, Oracle Fusion Cloud, REST APIs, and Snowflake is required.
Experience with handling various cloud and on-premise Databases/Data Warehouses like Snowflake and Oracle is necessary.
Experience leading a small team of developers is a plus.
Knowledge of Python and Snowflake is a plus.
Experience in ingesting semi-structured and unstructured data is a plus.

The salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $155,000, based on experience and qualifications.
