Description:
Care Access is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to enhance their data infrastructure and develop a scalable data platform.
The role involves collaborating with data architects to design and implement high-performance data solutions.
Responsibilities include building and optimizing data pipelines, modeling, and storage solutions across cloud environments.
The position focuses on data migration, governance, and ongoing maintenance of the data platform.
The engineer will work closely with architects and other teams to ensure alignment with architectural goals.
Duties include implementing effective data platform solutions, optimizing data pipelines using cloud-native services, and supporting data migration from legacy systems.
The role requires conducting data modeling, monitoring system performance, and maintaining a robust data governance model.
The engineer will also lead data security efforts, mentor junior engineers, and support CI/CD practices in data engineering workflows.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering, particularly with cloud data platforms like Azure, AWS, and Google BigQuery.
Proven experience in building and optimizing data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL Databases, and Power BI.
Proficiency in handling various data formats such as JSON, Parquet, and Avro.
Advanced SQL skills and experience in designing complex data models are required.
Familiarity with data transformation tools, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines for data projects is essential.
Knowledge of data governance and quality standards, with experience in regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11).
Strong problem-solving skills and experience in performance tuning for large-scale data systems are necessary.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
Certifications in Azure or other cloud data platforms are preferred, and experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.
