Description:

  • Care Access is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to enhance their data infrastructure and develop a scalable data platform.
  • The role involves collaborating with data architects to design and implement high-performance data solutions.
  • Responsibilities include building and optimizing data pipelines, modeling, and storage solutions across cloud environments.
  • The position focuses on data migration, governance, and ongoing maintenance of the data platform.
  • The engineer will work closely with architects and other teams to ensure alignment with architectural goals.
  • Duties include implementing effective data platform solutions, optimizing data pipelines using cloud-native services, and supporting data migration from legacy systems.
  • The role requires conducting data modeling, monitoring system performance, and maintaining a robust data governance model.
  • The engineer will also lead data security efforts, mentor junior engineers, and support CI/CD practices in data engineering workflows.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering, particularly with cloud data platforms like Azure, AWS, and Google BigQuery.
  • Proven experience in building and optimizing data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL Databases, and Power BI.
  • Proficiency in handling various data formats such as JSON, Parquet, and Avro.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience in designing complex data models are required.
  • Familiarity with data transformation tools, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines for data projects is essential.
  • Knowledge of data governance and quality standards, with experience in regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in performance tuning for large-scale data systems are necessary.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Certifications in Azure or other cloud data platforms are preferred, and experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.
