Description:
RecargaPay is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join the Regulatory Data Core Squad.
The role involves designing, implementing, and scaling robust data solutions in a dynamic regulatory reporting environment.
Responsibilities include constructing and optimizing secure, scalable, and high-performance data architectures to meet regulatory, compliance, and business demands.
The Senior Data Engineer will design and build scalable data architectures in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, applying architectural patterns like Lambda Architecture and domain-driven design.
The position requires modeling data across conceptual, logical, and physical levels using dbt and ER modeling tools to ensure data integrity and consistency.
The engineer will develop optimized data structures for regulatory reporting, analytics, and operational workloads with a focus on reliability and compliance.
Responsibilities also include designing, building, and maintaining batch and real-time data pipelines using tools like Airflow, Kafka, and Spark.
The role involves optimizing data ingestion, transformation, and delivery workflows for timely regulatory reporting.
The engineer will build and manage scalable data platforms, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Lakehouses, utilizing technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, and Delta Lake.
Continuous monitoring and optimization of platforms for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness is required.
The engineer will orchestrate complex workflows and automate data processes using Airflow, Databricks, or equivalent tools.
Best practices for pipeline modularization, versioning (Git), and active monitoring must be implemented.
The role includes implementing layered security measures across data platforms and ensuring compliance with governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
Documentation of data flows, technical standards, architecture decisions, and operational procedures is essential.
Mentoring and supporting other engineers in adopting best practices is also part of the role.
Requirements:
Candidates must have solid hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) in data engineering and architecture roles.
A strong background in data modeling with practical experience using dbt, ER modeling tools, and advanced SQL techniques is required.
Advanced knowledge of batch and streaming data processing frameworks such as Airflow, Kafka, and Spark is necessary.
Proficiency in managing data storage and processing solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, and Delta Lake is essential.
Expertise in orchestration tools and CI/CD practices, including Airflow, Databricks, and Git, is required.
A deep understanding of data security principles, data masking, encryption, access control, and governance frameworks is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving skills, technical leadership, and effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders are required.
Experience in regulatory, financial, or compliance-focused environments is a plus.
