Description:

  • TrueML is a mission-driven financial software company focused on improving customer experiences for distressed borrowers.
  • The Senior Data Engineer II will design, build, and maintain a cutting-edge data LakeHouse platform using open table formats like Apache Iceberg.
  • Responsibilities include developing and operating robust data pipelines, integrating diverse source systems, and implementing efficient data transformations for both batch and streaming data.
  • The role involves analyzing business requirements, designing data models, and developing curated data products for reporting, analytics, and machine learning applications.
  • The candidate will manage a scalable AWS cloud infrastructure for the data platform, employing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitoring data workloads for performance and errors, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high levels of data quality and adherence to SLAs are key tasks.
  • Collaboration with Data Services and Data Science teams is essential to evolve the data platform and meet stakeholder needs.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • The candidate must have 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in data-focused roles.
  • Experience in implementing data lake and data warehousing platforms is necessary.
  • Strong skills in Python and SQL applied to data engineering tasks are required.
  • Proficiency with the AWS data ecosystem, including services like S3, Glue Catalog, IAM, and Secrets Manager, is essential.
  • Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes is required.
  • A proven track record of successfully building and operationalizing data pipelines is necessary.
  • Experience working with diverse data stores, particularly relational databases, is required.
