Remote Sr. Data Engineer - NBC Sports Next

Description:

• The Sr. Data Engineer IIII at NBC Sports Next will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining analytical data streams for new and existing projects within the NBC SportsNext – Golf team.
• They will work on data pipelines, data marts, and schemas to support data warehousing environments and analytical requirements.
• The role involves database architecture and design, tsql development, query tuning, ETL/ELT processes, cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), troubleshooting data issues, and communicating with business users and project managers.
• The candidate will mentor other Data Engineers, identify software solutions for new projects, provide weekly project status reports to management, and be on call for production support.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of data warehousing / OLAP experience
• 7+ years multidimensional database architecture and design experience
• 5+ years of SQL Experience
• 3+ years of Python Experience
• 2+ years of PowerShell Experience
• 2+ years of Redshift Experience
• 2+ years of NoSQL Experience
• Team and vendor partner management skills
• Clear understanding of principles and techniques of Web development
• Experience with AWS Glue and Airflow
• Experience with API
• Dimensional database architecture experience
• Formal systems life cycle methodology experience
