Description:
The Sr. Data Engineer, SAP (BW/BPC) at NBCUniversal will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing SAP BW/BPC Systems, including integration with other systems.
The role involves participating in project implementation design and development activities to ensure successful business adoption of new solutions, as well as providing ongoing production support and enhancements post go-live.
The engineer will design, develop, and implement functionality based on business requirements, with a focus on Finance/BPC/HR Reporting.
They will identify ways to improve support processes, applications, and business logic to meet user needs.
The position requires a strong understanding of Financial/HR Reporting/BPC and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions that align with overall business requirements.
Responsibilities also include troubleshooting complex interfaces to downstream systems, collaborating with IT teams, and adhering to IT/SAP project methodologies and change control processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline with an IT focus, or equivalent education and training.
Experience as a Developer/Senior Developer in more than 3 projects.
5+ years of hands-on SAP technical design and implementation experience.
5+ years of experience in ABAP/HANA development.
Excellent track record of producing effective, innovative solutions on an enterprise scale.
Hands-on experience with Native HANA data modeling, SAP S/4 Embedded analytics, SAP BW powered by HANA, and BW/4 HANA features.
Strong knowledge of SAP Datasphere and SAP HANA CDS View/OData Service development.
Familiarity with Object Oriented ABAP, Enhancement Spots, BADIs, User Exits, Web IDE, and ABAP CDS Views.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to work off business hours and weekends for production support.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $145,000.
