MeridianLink is seeking a seasoned Analyst for the position of Sr. Data Products Business Analyst to join the Data Insights team.
This role is critical for developing industry-leading data products that provide tangible business value to stakeholders.
The Analyst will apply advanced analytics skills and a strong sense of ownership to enhance the data product strategy and help customers recognize tangible ROI.
Responsibilities include refining ambiguous questions, generating requirements for internal data products, and creating clear business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria within a scrum framework.
The Analyst will build complex BI reporting and analysis using Sisense and SQL to provide insights for stakeholders.
Maintaining reporting and analytics documentation through Confluence for business stakeholders is also required.
The role involves partnering with Data Engineering teams to address Data Model challenges and ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, finance, mathematics, or a related field is required, along with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
Expertise in SQL or a similar query language is mandatory.
Experience in the financial industry is required.
Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Sisense is necessary.
Experience working within an agile scrum environment is highly preferred.
Candidates should have experience in applied analytics fields (Marketing, Finance, Product, Economics, etc.) and knowledge of Analytics/Data Science industry best practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential, with the ability to convey methods and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Candidates must be intellectually curious, self-motivated, collaborative, and enthusiastic about data.
Statistical analysis skills using Python, R, or other scripting languages are a plus.
