Remote Sr. Data Scientist

Description:

• Pinterest is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to help uphold its mission of inspiring users and improving their experiences on the platform.
• The role involves developing best practices for instrumentation and experimentation, and communicating these to product engineering teams.
• The candidate will apply scientific rigor and statistical methods to product creation, development, and improvement, while considering user behaviors.
• Responsibilities include building and prototyping analysis pipelines to provide insights at scale and advocating for necessary changes in data structures and metrics for product development.
• The position requires collaboration with product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers to enhance user experiences on Pinterest.

Requirements:

• A Master’s degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering (any field), or a closely related quantitative discipline, along with two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related field, OR a Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign equivalent) in the same fields with five (5) years of progressively responsible experience.
• Special skills required include proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Machine Learning, Statistics, handling large data sets, A/B Testing, and causal inference.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
• Telecommuting is an option.

Benefits:

• The salary for this position ranges from $230,000.00 to $254,024.00 per annum, along with standard company benefits.
