RecargaPay is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to impact millions of Brazilians by creating accessible and innovative financial solutions.
The role involves developing and implementing real-time fraud scoring models to prevent fraudulent activities.
Responsibilities include optimizing user onboarding through predictive chargeback models, transforming the static rule engine into a dynamic graph-based system, and implementing fingerprinting and geographic tracking solutions.
The candidate will lead the adoption of new technologies like Databricks and Data Catalogue, analyze large volumes of data for fraud prevention, and mentor junior team members.
The position requires defining success metrics to measure the impact of Data Science projects on fraud reduction and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

Candidates must have demonstrable experience in building and implementing machine learning models for fraud and transaction risk prevention.
A deep knowledge of classification, regression, and clustering algorithms, along with feature engineering and model selection techniques, is required.
Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and Spark are essential.
Experience with big data platforms like Databricks and AWS, as well as knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and messaging tools (Kafka, SQS), is necessary.
The candidate should have experience in developing and implementing real-time scoring and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
An analytical mindset, results-oriented approach, and a passion for innovation and experimentation are important.
Knowledge of data modeling principles and experience in building robust and scalable data models, along with strong mathematical skills for optimizing complex problems, are required.
Bonus points for experience with graph-based rule engines and knowledge of fingerprinting and geographic tracking techniques.
