Description:
The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment processes.
This role involves working closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of our software products.
The engineer will design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions to support our software development and deployment processes.
Collaboration with development teams is essential to define and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
The position requires automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment processes.
Monitoring and troubleshooting production systems to ensure high availability and performance is a key responsibility.
The engineer will implement and maintain security best practices for our infrastructure and applications.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues is expected.
Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud technologies is necessary.
The engineer will also mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the DevOps team.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, with a preference for AWS and Azure.
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools, with Terraform being preferred.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Openshift is required.
Proven GitOps experience with tools like ArgoCD or Flux is necessary.
Experience with at least one configuration management tool such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt stack is required.
Linux Administration experience with a variety of operating systems like Redhat, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Rocky Linux is essential.
A solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI is required.
Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Go Language are necessary.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack is expected.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are essential.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is necessary.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in a DevOps role, preferably in a product-focused environment, is required.
Nice to have: Professional/Specialty level Certification in at least one of AWS, Azure, Terraform, or Networking.
Nice to have: Professional certification like RHCA, RHCE, or RHCHA.
Nice to have: Experience in DevSecOps and Platforms Engineering.
