Description:
The Sr. DevOps Engineer at Perforce will design and build the next-generation cloud platform for the company's SaaS product portfolio.
This role ensures the security, reliability, and high availability of all production and CI/CD environments and applications.
Responsibilities include building platforms and frameworks for consistent, verifiable, and automatic management of applications and infrastructure.
The engineer will implement application security best practices throughout the agile SDLC.
Advocating for a DevOps culture at Perforce is essential to ensure efficient testing, delivery, and deployment of all software artifacts.
The role involves managing the development and enhancements of CI/CD pipeline infrastructure and tools.
The engineer will execute technical design principles and practices across all product portfolios to integrate operation design into the development lifecycle.
Automation efforts to eliminate manual work in day-to-day operations will be a key focus.
Daily tasks include developing a technical design for the cloud platform, creating a framework, and collaborating with Dev and DevOps teams to meet quality standards.
Requirements:
A BS/MS/BTech in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, or a related field is preferred.
Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in the SaaS software cloud operation and development space.
A deep understanding and solid experience with fundamental services on AWS/GCP, including Compute, Network, Database, Security, Management, and Observability, is required.
Experience in managing and building CI/CD pipelines for system software, Operating Systems, and libraries is necessary.
Familiarity with observability tools such as Newrelic, Opensearch, Splunk, Jaeger, Prometheus, and Grafana is essential.
Hands-on experience in one or more programming languages, including Python, Ruby, Go, and Java, is required.
Candidates must have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker container technology.
Experience as a software developer and technical leader is a must.
A deep technical knowledge of cloud-based scalable web application architectures and technologies, preferably AWS and GCP, is required.
Proficiency in driving secure SDLC with DevSecOps practices and metrics is necessary.
Hands-on development experience with infrastructure as code frameworks, such as Terraform and Serverless Framework, is a plus.
Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible, and Chef is required.
Familiarity with DevOps automation tools like Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, and Azure ARM templates is necessary.
Experience working with vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi hosts is preferred.
