Description:
Perforce is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to design and build the next-generation cloud platform for its SaaS product portfolio.
The role focuses on ensuring the security, reliability, and high availability of all production and CI/CD environments and applications.
Responsibilities include building platforms and frameworks for consistent management of applications and infrastructure, implementing application security best practices, and advocating for a DevOps culture.
The engineer will manage the development and enhancements of CI/CD pipeline infrastructure/tools and execute technical design principles across product portfolios.
Daily tasks involve developing a technical design for the cloud platform, creating a framework, and collaborating with Dev and DevOps teams to meet quality standards.
Requirements:
A BS/MS/BTech in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, or a related field is preferred.
Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in SaaS software cloud operation and development.
A deep understanding and solid experience with fundamental services on AWS/GCP, including Compute, Network, Database, Security, Management, and Observability, is required.
Experience in managing and building CI/CD pipelines for system software, Operating Systems, and libraries is necessary.
Familiarity with observability tools such as Newrelic, Opensearch, Splunk, Jaeger, Prometheus, and Grafana is essential.
Hands-on experience in programming languages like Python, Ruby, Go, and Java is required.
Candidates must have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker container technology.
A background as a software developer and technical leader is a must.
Deep technical knowledge of cloud-based scalable web application architectures and technologies, preferably AWS and GCP, is required.
Proficiency in driving secure SDLC with DevSecOps practices and metrics is necessary.
Experience with infrastructure as code frameworks like Terraform and Serverless Framework is a plus.
Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and Chef is required.
Experience with DevOps automation tools like Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, and Azure ARM templates is necessary.
Familiarity with vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi hosts is preferred.
