Description:

  • Perforce is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to design and build the next-generation cloud platform for its SaaS product portfolio.
  • The role focuses on ensuring the security, reliability, and high availability of all production and CI/CD environments and applications.
  • Responsibilities include building platforms and frameworks for consistent management of applications and infrastructure, implementing application security best practices, and advocating for a DevOps culture.
  • The engineer will manage the development and enhancements of CI/CD pipeline infrastructure/tools and execute technical design principles across product portfolios.
  • Daily tasks involve developing a technical design for the cloud platform, creating a framework, and collaborating with Dev and DevOps teams to meet quality standards.

Requirements:

  • A BS/MS/BTech in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in SaaS software cloud operation and development.
  • A deep understanding and solid experience with fundamental services on AWS/GCP, including Compute, Network, Database, Security, Management, and Observability, is required.
  • Experience in managing and building CI/CD pipelines for system software, Operating Systems, and libraries is necessary.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Newrelic, Opensearch, Splunk, Jaeger, Prometheus, and Grafana is essential.
  • Hands-on experience in programming languages like Python, Ruby, Go, and Java is required.
  • Candidates must have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker container technology.
  • A background as a software developer and technical leader is a must.
  • Deep technical knowledge of cloud-based scalable web application architectures and technologies, preferably AWS and GCP, is required.
  • Proficiency in driving secure SDLC with DevSecOps practices and metrics is necessary.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code frameworks like Terraform and Serverless Framework is a plus.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and Chef is required.
  • Experience with DevOps automation tools like Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, and Azure ARM templates is necessary.
  • Familiarity with vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi hosts is preferred.
