Description:

Jobgether is seeking a Sr DevOps Engineer for a fully remote position in the United States, preferably on the West Coast.
The role is designed for a seasoned DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience in cloud-native systems and CI/CD.
The engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling infrastructure for highly trafficked, real-time applications.
Key responsibilities include ensuring system reliability, security, and performance while facilitating fast-paced development and deployment.
The position requires extensive use of Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and AWS, while also contributing to architectural decisions, deployment strategies, and operational excellence.
Accountabilities include architecting and maintaining highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure in AWS, guiding infrastructure strategy, defining DevOps best practices, collaborating with various teams, leading R&D initiatives, and resolving performance bottlenecks.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of professional experience in DevOps or infrastructure engineering roles, with a strong software background.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Vault, Helm, and Datadog is required.
Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, ECS, RDS, VPC, Route53, and networking is essential.
Proven ability to manage and optimize CI/CD systems, specifically Jenkins and GitHub Actions, is necessary.
Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming and JVM-based languages, such as Java and Kotlin, is required.
Working knowledge of Kafka and familiarity with real-time streaming technologies, Big Data infrastructure, Golang, Avro, and IoT systems is a plus.

This is a remote-first role, with a preference for candidates located on the West Coast of the U.S.
