Remote Sr. Engineer, Full Stack (React/Node)

Description:

• Veritone is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Full Stack (React/Node) to design and build innovative features for their Public Sector applications on the aiWARE platform.
• The role involves designing and implementing services using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Responsibilities include building UI solutions that are maintainable, cost-effective, and responsive, and partnering with product, design, and infrastructure teams to enhance applications and services.
• The engineer will own the reliability of applications by collaborating with operations and infrastructure teams to build, scale, and monitor services.
• Duties also include designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software code for high-performance business applications, as well as analyzing and optimizing code for efficiency.
• The position requires mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 2+ years of professional experience in building high-performance, reliable systems in a complex, multi-tiered, distributed environment.
• A proven track record of writing maintainable code, including unit tests and sound implementations of design patterns, is required.
• Successful deployment of production code at scale is necessary.
• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, V8 Runtimes, and React/Redux is essential.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, ElasticSearch, JavaScript Heap, Call Stack, and JavaScript transpilers like Webpack/Vite is expected.
• Knowledge of mono repo tooling like Lerna/Nx, testing with Cypress, and writing Babel/Webpack/Rollup plugins is preferred.
• Strong debugging skills and familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for deployment, as well as Kibana/Grafana for logging and monitoring, are required.
• Candidates should be curious, continuous learners with a can-do attitude.
