Remote Sr. Front End Developer / Shopify Developer

Description:

• Our client is looking for a Front-End Developer with a vast comprehension of developing exceptional ecommerce experiences.
• You will work alongside other inspired developers to build cutting-edge websites and experiences using Git, Typescript, Liquid, and Shopify's APIs.
• Your role will involve active participation in development and contributing to the project's overall success by collaborating closely with clients to understand their goals and constraints.
• You will lead technical demos and iterate alongside the design team throughout the design and development process.
• Responsibilities include developing and maintaining ecommerce websites according to project requirements and best practices.
• You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate project goals into technical requirements and solutions.
• Staying updated on Shopify updates, new features, and best practices is essential for continuous improvement of development processes.
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner are key tasks.
• Participation in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives, is expected.
• You will collaborate with third-party service providers and integration partners to implement and maintain integrations with external systems.
• Continuous monitoring of application performance, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing enhancements to improve user experience and efficiency is required.
• You will work with clients to build new sites from the ground-up and develop new features.
• Delivering features on-time, sometimes with limited details, design, or requirements, is part of the role.
• Being detail-oriented and passionate about creating beautiful front-end experiences is crucial.
• Providing feedback on design completeness, feature feasibility, and implementation effort is expected.
• You should be proactive in assisting team members with technical issues or challenges.
• Reviewing other team members' code submissions to ensure they meet project needs is part of your responsibilities.
• Participation in client meetings and demos to demonstrate project progress or gather technical requirements is also required.

Requirements:

• Must have 5+ years of experience as a Front-End (or Full-Stack) developer; startup experience is a bonus.
• You must demonstrate the capability to balance the demands of 2-3 projects simultaneously.
• A thorough understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6), CSS3, and HTML5 is required.
• Experience with Git and a decent understanding of zsh or bash is necessary.
• General experience in building, launching, and maintaining Shopify stores, including experience with Liquid and ThemeKit, is essential.
• You should have an appreciation of design and the ability to protect its thoughtfulness without compromising fidelity.
• A positive response to changing priorities within fast-paced projects is important.
• Knowledge of application architecture and understanding how business trade-offs impact technical choices is required.
• You should be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• The ability to transform complex problems into elegant and simple solutions is necessary.
• You must be able to present to and communicate with clients with clarity and confidence.
• Nice to have experience includes languages, frameworks, or services such as TypeScript, Netlify, Cloudflare Workers, and GraphQL.
• Experience with WCAG/ADA compliance and Figma is also a plus.
