Description:
Our client is looking for a Front-End Developer who has a vast comprehension of what it takes to develop and ship exceptional ecommerce experiences.
In this role, you will work alongside other inspired developers to build cutting-edge websites and experiences using Git, Typescript, Liquid, and Shopify's many APIs.
You will take an active role in the development of the work and play an integral part in the project's overall success by working closely with clients to understand their goals and constraints.
You will lead technical demos and iterate alongside the design team throughout the design and development process.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining ecommerce websites according to project requirements and best practices, collaborating with designers and stakeholders, staying updated on Shopify updates, troubleshooting and debugging issues, participating in Agile development processes, collaborating with third-party service providers, monitoring application performance, building new sites and features, delivering features on-time, being detail-oriented, providing feedback on design and implementation, helping team members with technical issues, reviewing code submissions, and participating in client meetings and demos.
Requirements:
Must have 5+ years of experience as a Front-End (or Full-Stack) developer; startup experience is a bonus.
You should demonstrate the capability to balance the demands of 2-3 projects at a given time.
A thorough understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6), CSS3, and HTML5 is required.
Experience with Git and a decent understanding of zsh or bash is necessary.
General experience building, launching, and maintaining Shopify stores, including experience with Liquid and ThemeKit, is essential.
You should have an appreciation of design and be able to protect its thoughtfulness without compromising fidelity.
A positive response to changing priorities within fast-paced projects is important.
Knowledge of architecting an application and understanding how business trade-offs impact technical choices is required.
You should be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and appreciate transforming complex problems into elegant solutions.
The ability to present to and communicate with clients with clarity and confidence is necessary.
Nice to haves include experience with TypeScript, Netlify, Cloudflare Workers, GraphQL, WCAG/ADA compliance, Figma, and an eagerness to try new frameworks or solutions.
