Description:

  • Join the team building the world’s largest B2B marketplace focused on the chemical industry.
  • Contribute to a digital marketplace where R&D, marketing, and procurement teams can search, find, compare, sample, quote, and purchase chemistry from every producer globally.
  • Work as a Front End Developer within a small, remote team, empowered to make decisions about code and product direction.
  • Contribute to the development of a complex ecommerce marketplace, the first of its kind in the Chemicals space.
  • Emphasize rapid feature shipping while maintaining high code quality.
  • Own projects from software design through implementation and deployment.
  • Implement cutting-edge technologies and write state-of-the-art code.
  • Transform UI designs and mockups into functional pages and flows using CSS3 and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Build modular front-end code leveraging REST-based services.
  • Write elegant code that emphasizes simplicity and pragmatism, serving as a model for other developers.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and service workers.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience developing rich UI/Front-end for user-facing web applications.
  • Strong experience with React or Angular, TypeScript, SSR, SPA, PWA, OOP, Reactive programming, Flexbox, and Unit tests (Karma + Jasmine).
  • Ability to function as both a project leader and an individual contributor.
  • Experience collaborating within distributed, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience in developing secure web applications and knowledge of application vulnerabilities such as Cross Site Scripting (XSS) and Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF).
  • A high bar for quality and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience writing clean, unobtrusive JavaScript and using debugging tools.
  • Knowledge of browser quirks and their remedies, with a note that Internet Explorer is not supported.
  • Understanding of browser internals like JavaScript engines and techniques to optimize code performance.
