Friends From The City is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join their team focused on creating user-centered, inclusive, and accessible digital experiences for federal agencies.
The role involves supporting the development of internal platforms at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) using cutting-edge technologies like generative AI and machine learning.
The ideal candidate will deliver elegant solutions across a modern technology stack, ensuring code accessibility, maintainability, and thorough testing.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality frontend code, ensuring compliance with web accessibility standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver functional products.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of frontend development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Angular.
Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills to engage with teams and stakeholders effectively.
Proficiency in modern technology stacks, build tools like Webpack, version control systems like Git, and package managers like npm or Yarn.
Deep understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices for creating inclusive user experiences.
Experience in writing and maintaining unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or similar.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
