Description:

Vimeo Media is seeking a Sr. Frontend Engineer to join a new team focused on integrating the existing backend stack with a new frontend application.
This role involves building an excellent web experience that unifies Vimeo’s Content and Media feature set into a singular product offering.
The Media Unification initiative is a multi-year effort aimed at modernizing and expanding the capabilities of the Vimeo Media product.
As the founding engineer, you will have the opportunity to shape the team’s values, culture, and standards, as well as promote collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.
Responsibilities include writing well-tested, performant, and accessible code using React, Next.js, and other frameworks.
You will drive technical research, planning, and execution of a new core web experience.
The role requires growing technical expertise to collaborate effectively with other teams on complex integrations and innovative solutions.
You will develop and uphold best practices and standards, becoming a trusted engineering leader.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience shipping high-impact, well-factored features in React or other frontend frameworks.
A strong understanding of modern web development concepts and best practices is essential.
Candidates should possess a solid grasp of web accessibility standards and design system principles.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to tackle ambiguous challenges is required.
The ability to prioritize user value and focus on making an impact for users is crucial.

The targeted base salary range for this position is $122,400 to $187,000, depending on various factors including experience and skills.
