Description:
The position is for a Sr Software Engineer in the Fintech team at Hopper, focusing on the Disruption and Insurance category of their fintech portfolio.
The role involves crafting, implementing, and deploying both frontend and backend systems that enhance Hopper’s user experience.
Daily responsibilities include planning and scoping projects, writing and reviewing code, and learning new technical concepts or features that benefit the team.
The company maintains a low-meeting culture, with no more than 10 hours of meetings scheduled at the start of the week, while still valuing regular team discussions for project planning.
Requirements:
Candidates must have in-depth experience in full-stack development.
Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern front-end libraries is required.
Experience with Scala or other JVM languages (such as Kotlin or Java) in a production environment is necessary.
A commitment to enhancing system quality and reliability, demonstrating excellence in software engineering practices, is expected.
A professional background in the travel or fintech industries, with an understanding of their specific challenges and requirements, is preferred.
