Description:
The Senior Healthcare Data Analyst position is a full-time, remote role at Integrity Management Services, Inc. (IntegrityM).
The analyst will possess in-depth knowledge of healthcare systems and intermediate computer and software skills.
Responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive information, adhering to privacy and security protocols, and ensuring compliance with training requirements.
The analyst will build models and conduct analytics to support Medicare and Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse efforts.
They will identify anomalies in healthcare data and follow up to determine indications of fraud.
The role involves building complex models using technologies such as Python, R, SQL, and SAS.
The analyst will manipulate and extract healthcare claims data stored in a Cloud environment.
They will develop targeted analyses and continuously learn about Medicare and Medicaid policies.
The analyst will provide subject matter expertise and guidance to Statistical and Data Analysts, ensuring quality project deliverables.
They may serve as a Team Lead, managing project activities and communicating with clients.
Effective communication with technical and non-technical users is essential.
The analyst will remain informed about industry changes and assess their impact on projects.
Requirements:
A minimum of a 4-year degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field, or at least 6 years of data analysis experience in the healthcare industry is required.
Candidates must have 6 years of professional experience working with large and complex data sets.
A minimum of 3 years of data analysis experience within the healthcare industry is necessary.
Advanced knowledge of analytic, mathematical, and statistical methods is required.
Experience or understanding of Medicare and Medicaid claims, ICD10 codes, HCPCS, and Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG) is essential.
Candidates should be confident in merging disparate datasets and using SQL functions.
Relevant experience in a health-related, scientific, or public policy/business discipline with extensive quantitative methods/statistical knowledge is needed.
Proficiency in project software such as SAS/SQL, Python/PySpark, Snowflake, R, and Databricks is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is necessary.
Knowledge of analytic methodologies and principles is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate adaptability to change and be team players.
The ability to pass a public trust background check is required.
