Description:
The Sr Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and engineering application software solutions for the U.S. Department of Labor Program.
They will work on technical and ops support for the Federal client for the Office of Workers Compensation Program.
The role involves designing and implementing components of the application and program, utilizing frameworks like Spring JQuery and web servers like Apache, WildFly, Tomcat, WebLogic, or WebSphere.
The developer will also work on REST and SOAP web services, ensure code quality, application security, and accessibility, and create necessary documentation.
They will monitor system performance, lead technical impact analysis, support the SQA team, conduct code reviews, and mentor associate developers.
This is a remote position that offers the opportunity to learn more about health information systems while working from a home office.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Minimum of 8 years of practical Java application design and development experience.
7+ years of hands-on experience in Java (J2EE) application frameworks, web services environments, languages, and formats.
4+ years of experience in the Health Care domain.
Demonstrated working knowledge of full-stack Java implementation.
Expertise in Spring Core, MVC, and integrated modules.
Strong experience in PL/SQL and Database analysis.
Proficiency in source code management tools like SVN and/or GIT.
Hands-on experience with Apache Maven and/or Ant, enterprise tools like Sonar and Jenkins, and JIRA.
Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design, working with multiple operating systems, and multithreading applications.
Flexibility with work environments such as deployment support and production issue resolution support.

The compensation for this position ranges from $82,000.00 to $123,000.00, based on years of applicable experience and skill level.
