Description:

  • The Sr. Network Engineer will be part of the Infrastructure Engineering team at Granicus, focusing on supporting and maintaining network hardware, software, and critical systems with an emphasis on security, availability, and scalability.
  • Responsibilities include following infrastructure team processes, identifying and fixing problem areas in the existing enterprise network, executing quality changes, and performing code and change request reviews.
  • The engineer will be part of an on-call team, triaging and troubleshooting efficiently during production incidents, ensuring network resources are logged and monitored, and analyzing log files and network data.
  • The role involves developing documentation to empower team members, planning for and installing new software/firmware releases, and acting as a point of escalation for other engineers.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience administrating network routers, switches, and firewalls, and 3+ years of experience with load balancers.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols is required, along with 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Candidates should have 1+ years of experience writing automation scripts using Python, Ansible, or Terraform, and experience with Git or other version control systems.
  • Specific technical experience with regular patching of network firmware and software systems, understanding of certificates and certificate management, and familiarity with security frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST 800-53 is necessary.
  • Experience in a large enterprise environment providing network support is essential, along with a passion for technology and the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
