Remote Sr. Principal Engineer (Unit 42)

Description:

• The Sr. Principal Engineer will be responsible for owning the Web frontend for Unit 42’s flagship customer and internal platform, Arcade, including building capabilities to support the business and provide security insights for customers.
• They will collaborate closely with Product Management and Design to build best-in-class product experiences.
• The role involves leading all Web UI implementation for first-party and third-party solutions and designing robust technical solutions to business problems with a focus on quality and execution.
• The engineer will suggest and implement improvements to the development process and communicate goals and outcomes effectively to internal project teams.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in a senior web front-end engineering role.
• Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• 5+ years of experience with a modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue, etc.).
• Experience architecting front-end systems interacting with cloud services and APIs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in collaborative teams and deliver high-quality software under tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field required.
• Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL database systems and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in automation, tooling, and testing in the software lifecycle.
• Experience with Web performance optimization and modern object-oriented languages like Java or C# preferred.

Benefits:

• The compensation for this position ranges from $170,000/yr to $275,000/yr, with additional benefits such as restricted stock units and a bonus.
