Finalis is building the largest investment banking platform in the world, enabling the securities brokerage landscape to operate legally and compliantly.
The firm provides a white-labeled regulatory affiliation and compliance back-office solution for private market dealmaking, including M&A, capital raising, and fintech marketplaces.
The Senior Principal Software Architect will strategize, plan, design, and execute scalable, high-performance solutions for the Finalis platform.
This role requires driving technical excellence, ensuring architecture aligns with product mindset and company objectives.
Responsibilities include designing comprehensive architecture solutions, participating in coding efforts, providing technical leadership, and collaborating on cloud service integration.
The architect will focus on database strategies, lead integration with third-party systems, assess modern frameworks, and enhance system performance through optimization techniques.
The position is fully remote, with team members distributed across various time zones.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 15 years of experience in software product development and architecture is necessary.
Strong proficiency in Nest.js, Next.js, Node.js, GraphQL, Design Patterns, and Apollo Server is essential.
Experience in integrating third-party services and implementing Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles is required.
Candidates should have experience in developing cost-effective solutions and in-depth knowledge of Domain-Driven Design concepts.
A strong understanding of web services, API-first approaches, and microservices architecture is needed.
Knowledge of cloud-native technologies, including containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and serverless functions (AWS Lambda), is important.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools such as Terraform is required.
Proven hands-on coding experience and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
Effective communication skills and strong leadership abilities to mentor teams are necessary.
Experience in designing and implementing event-driven architectures and message-based communication patterns is preferred.
