Description:

Hike is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) for a full-time remote position in Delhi, India.
The role involves building the Rush Gaming Universe and requires strong experience in backend gaming technologies and networking protocols.
Responsibilities include developing, innovating, and integrating new technologies and tools, scoping out tasks and systems for future improvements, and mentoring other engineers.
The candidate will define, architect, and develop core gaming server components, optimize code and memory usage for high-performance scalable systems, and collaborate closely with product managers, other backend engineers, and app developers.
The position requires writing coherent, organized code and working on a complicated codebase that impacts the experience of millions of users.

Requirements:

The candidate must have strong coding skills in Java and/or C#.
A strong understanding of TCP/IP and UDP protocols is required.
Basic understanding of distributed systems is necessary.
Proficiency in designing REST APIs with JSON and XML formats is essential.
The candidate should have proficiency in designing relational databases and schemas for relational databases.
Experience in scaling systems for hundreds of thousands of concurrent connections is required.
A minimum of 3 to 6 years of relevant industry experience is necessary.
Strong Object Oriented design and architecture skills are required.
A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design is essential.
Proven ability to architect and design large and complicated systems is necessary.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in discussing timelines, design concerns, and providing feedback to team members, are required.
Experience with common workflow tools like source control (GIT) and bug tracking (JIRA) is necessary.
