Description:
Sayari is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer to join its growing Information Security team, focusing on enhancing the security of cloud infrastructure.
The role will primarily involve working with Kubernetes, cloud platform security, and network security architectures.
Responsibilities include architecting, deploying, and managing security solutions for Kubernetes clusters and multi-cloud environments (GCP, AWS).
The engineer will collaborate with Infrastructure and DevOps teams to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and automate vulnerability management.
The position requires designing and managing automated Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies to ensure least-privileged access controls.
The engineer will partner with application and data teams to ensure secure application deployment and advise on secure coding practices.
Responsibilities also include ensuring proper ingestion of security logs into the SIEM and participating in security audits.
The role requires compliance with relevant laws and industry standards, creating and maintaining detailed security documentation, and researching AI technologies for security improvements.
The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background and be capable of addressing diverse security challenges.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in a security engineering role, with a focus on cloud environments and security controls implementation.
Significant experience with cloud security on platforms such as GCP and AWS is required.
Candidates should have hands-on experience securing Kubernetes, including the control plane, worker nodes, and networking.
In-depth knowledge of security principles, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and zero-trust concepts is essential.
Strong fundamentals in networking and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go) for automation and security tool development are required.
Familiarity with IAM standards (e.g., SAML, OIDC, OAuth2) and experience with centralized logging systems and SIEM solutions is necessary.
A thorough understanding of web application security and securing SaaS products, including API security, is expected.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential.
Strong professional writing skills for creating clear documentation are required.
A collaborative spirit with experience working across diverse teams is necessary.
