Description:
Join the Developer Enablement team at Zapier as a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer to advance the company's approach to observability and incident management.
Work on enhancing Zapier’s observability and reliability capabilities by evaluating and recommending new tools and technologies.
Collaborate with service teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues and design challenges, ensuring scalable and reliable service delivery.
Implement site reliability principles to diagnose and address systemic sources of unreliability, enhancing system stability and reducing recurrence of issues.
Develop internal tools and systems to enhance the observability and reliability of applications, aiding engineering teams in delivering high-quality software efficiently.
Build features and services supporting robust system operations, including incident management processes for automated solutions ensuring system resilience and recovery.
Engage in proactive learning from system failures to build more robust and resilient systems, preventing future issues and improving overall infrastructure health.
Requirements:
Must have 4+ years of experience working on projects in SaaS companies in systems engineering or software development.
Should possess a deep understanding of observability and the ability to detect and resolve issues before customers notice.
Experience in designing or maintaining highly available, cloud-based infrastructure in AWS or another cloud offering.
Proficiency in coding with languages like Python or Go to create automated tools and expertise in infrastructure as code.
Ability to solve complex systems challenges, improve performance, and identify opportunities for enhancement.
Excellent communication skills for sharing knowledge, documenting effectively, and collaborating with software and support teams.
