Remote Sr. Software Engineer

Description:

• SamCart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join their engineering team.
• The role involves designing, implementing, testing, and releasing new features for their e-commerce product.
• Candidates will use modern tools and methodologies, focusing on object-oriented design to ensure code simplicity, changeability, and longevity.
• Responsibilities include regularly delivering customer value by shipping working software, developing and deploying features across the application stack (React, PHP, MySql hosted in AWS), and following best practices like test-driven development.
• The engineer will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality features that meet business goals and usability standards.
• Ongoing training and development participation is expected, both as a learner and teacher.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience in full-stack software development using front-end frameworks (Next.js, React) and back-end frameworks (Laravel, ASP.NET, Rails).
• Expert knowledge of multiple object-oriented programming languages (PHP, C#, Python, JavaScript, Java, Ruby) is required.
• A professional approach to software craftsmanship with a commitment to test-driven development, refactoring, simple design, collaborative programming, and acceptance tests is essential.
• Demonstrated skill in building reliable software systems using fundamental design principles (design patterns, SOLID) is necessary.
• Experience in developing and deploying software in a containerized environment is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in building software applications using web application frameworks is mandatory.
