Description:

We are seeking a Mid-Senior Full-Stack Engineer to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) by modernizing a suite of applications for an electronic portal system.
This role involves working on a long-term government contract with a technical solutions provider, focusing on delivering innovative solutions through advanced software development practices.
Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and enhancing full-stack applications using Java, Node.js, AWS, JavaScript, and React.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure timely delivery.
Participation in the migration and modernization of legacy systems to cloud-based infrastructure is required.
The role also involves optimizing backend and frontend performance to ensure a seamless user experience.
Implementing best practices for CI/CD pipelines, testing, and version control is essential.

Requirements:

A Computer Science degree or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software development, ideally in a senior-level role with 7+ years preferred.
Expertise in Java with hands-on experience in Node.js is necessary.
Proficiency in AWS cloud services and JavaScript/React for frontend development is required.
Experience working in Agile teams is essential.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on clean and efficient coding practices, are required.
