CAT Labs is a technology startup focused on developing digital asset recovery and cyber defense tools for both government and private sectors to combat crypto crime.
The team at CAT Labs consists of experts in blockchain security, cryptographers, former U.S. Department of Defense computer scientists, ethical hackers, and U.S. Department of Justice investigators.
The company is working on cutting-edge encryption technology for crypto key management and digital asset recovery tools for law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
Their flagship software tool, Recovery CAT, automates the process of discovering and recovering digital assets in criminal investigations and civil cases.
They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a background in digital forensics to join their team.
The responsibilities include software development, digital forensics, continuous improvement, and documentation and communication.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of software development experience with at least 3 years in back-end development.
Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, and Go programming languages.
Experience in modern web development using Angular, Node.js, and relational databases.
Expertise in AWS cloud architecture, microservice design, and containerization.
Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI, database solutions, file systems (Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android), encryption libraries, SQL queries, regex pattern matching, CI/CD pipelines, and SRE principles.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an agile environment.
Preferred qualifications include prior experience in GovTech or highly-regulated environments, knowledge of machine learning algorithms, computer vision techniques, blockchain integrations, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Benefits:
Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 a year (compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and impact).
