The role of Sr. Backend Software Engineer involves creating and improving Python and Java-based APIs.
The engineer will work within the engineering team to design, develop, and deploy APIs that power core product functionality.
Collaboration with product management, data science, and behavioral health specialists is essential.
The position requires adherence to best practices during all phases of software development and maintaining high quality and security standards.
This role can be performed from the Burlingame, CA headquarters, in a hybrid model, or fully remote, provided the candidate is located within the United States.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience developing enterprise or consumer web applications, ideally using Python or Java/Spring.
Experience in developing and deploying multi-tenant web applications is necessary.
Candidates should have experience building scalable REST APIs.
The ideal candidate must be highly proactive and a self-starter.
