Description:

  • The role is for a Sr. Software Engineer on Rula’s Care Access engineering team, focusing on building software solutions that help patients find therapists or psychiatry providers that match their preferences and accept their insurance.
  • The engineer will provide technical expertise and lead contributions to the patient matching and appointment booking product experiences owned by the Care Access team.
  • The team experiments with new features to ensure patients can connect with the right therapist on their first try.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working across the stack, which includes Node.js, Typescript, React, Next.js, and Ruby on Rails.
  • The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, maintaining high-quality standards, and working collaboratively in a feedback-oriented environment.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Full-stack experience in building modern database-backed (SQL/no-SQL) web applications is required, with previous production experience in React, Typescript, Next.js, Node.js, or Kafka.
  • Experience working directly with product and design teams is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience managing time-sensitive projects while balancing multiple stakeholders' needs.
  • Experience driving all phases of the development lifecycle, including technical design, planning, execution, and measuring success, is required.
