Description:
The role is for a Sr. Software Engineer on Rula’s Care Access engineering team, focusing on building software solutions that help patients find therapists or psychiatry providers that match their preferences and accept their insurance.
The engineer will provide technical expertise and lead contributions to the patient matching and appointment booking product experiences owned by the Care Access team.
The team experiments with new features to ensure patients can connect with the right therapist on their first try.
Candidates should be comfortable working across the stack, which includes Node.js, Typescript, React, Next.js, and Ruby on Rails.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, maintaining high-quality standards, and working collaboratively in a feedback-oriented environment.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of software engineering experience.
Full-stack experience in building modern database-backed (SQL/no-SQL) web applications is required, with previous production experience in React, Typescript, Next.js, Node.js, or Kafka.
Experience working directly with product and design teams is necessary.
Candidates should have experience managing time-sensitive projects while balancing multiple stakeholders' needs.
Experience driving all phases of the development lifecycle, including technical design, planning, execution, and measuring success, is required.
