Description:

The Sr. Software Engineer will design and develop a best-in-class cloud platform, working on all parts of the G-P ecosystem and building frameworks and services to enhance the platform.
The role involves developing solutions that fit a cloud-managed and serverless-first platform ecosystem.
The engineer will build quick prototypes to refine concepts and then turn them into real production-quality features.
The position requires advocating and evangelizing modern agile methodologies and best practices, such as the Well Architected Framework.
The engineer will promote a quality and scalability mindset, focusing on building software with scale and speed.
Responsibilities include diagnosing and fixing issues reported by internal teams and customers.
The engineer will develop and promote a full spectrum of test suites and a quality mindset, including unit, contract, and integration tests.
The role includes supporting and developing software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in developing highly scalable enterprise-level services, platforms, or products.
Extensive experience in building large-scale distributed enterprise applications in geographically distributed teams is required.
A deep knowledge of the backend stack is necessary, with familiarity in Node.js, Java, Python, Redis, and Golang.
Knowledge and experience in choosing between SQL and NoSQL database technologies, such as MySQL/PostgreSQL and MongoDB/DynamoDB, are essential.
Candidates should have knowledge of modern cloud architectures and technologies, with experience in AWS being a plus.
Excellent communication skills are required, along with experience in documenting and delivering technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in a startup or high-growth environment and the ability to hustle is desirable.
Hands-on experience in data modeling, data architecture, and data governance is a plus.
AWS Serverless experience and integrating CRM systems such as Salesforce with internal systems are advantageous.
Experience in integrating third-party systems with internal and external workflows and business workflow orchestration/choreography patterns is beneficial.
