Remote Sr. Software Engineer - E-Commerce (Poland)

Description:

• Yubico is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to lead the eCommerce platform backend.
• The role involves building and maintaining e-commerce features and integrations with supply chain, finance, customer support, and payment systems.
• Candidates should have a passion for backend development and an understanding of the synergy between databases, application code, and APIs.
• Responsibilities include suggesting, designing, and implementing new system features, maintaining the technical aspects of the eCommerce backend, and providing support for internal users.
• The engineer will participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and mentor junior developer colleagues.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in PHP, with deep knowledge of object-oriented principles, dependency injection, and design patterns.
• A minimum of 5 years of design and implementation experience with relational SQL databases is required.
• Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience with modern frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Experience in creating and consuming REST APIs is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and GCP is required.
• Candidates should be self-motivated and interested in the e-commerce area.
