Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer at OpenBorder, you will lead key projects and shape the systems that support global shipping, tax compliance, and merchant services.
You will take ownership of end-to-end feature delivery and mentor other engineers.
You will influence technical direction across the stack.
Your responsibilities will include leading the development of major features and systems.
You will design and implement scalable, maintainable solutions.
You will drive best practices in testing, documentation, and system design.
You will work across various technologies including Java, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, Next.js, Nest.js, AWS, and GCP.

Requirements:

You must have proven experience leading complex engineering efforts.
A deep understanding of system design and architecture is required.
You should have the ability to mentor and elevate others.
Strong communication and decision-making skills are essential for this position.

This is a fully remote role available to candidates in the US or Canada only.
You will work during Eastern Time working hours.
