Description:

Narvar is seeking Senior Software Engineers focused on Distributed Systems to enhance the post-purchase experience for major retail brands.
The role involves building products that drive decisions on scaling and extending the platform while owning reliability and scalability KPIs.
Daily responsibilities include working with a motivated team of engineers, fostering technical growth among team members, and embracing modern engineering practices for high-quality service releases.
The engineer will collaborate with the team to design, estimate, develop, and launch new products and features.
The position requires resolving complex technical issues and driving innovations to improve system availability, resilience, and performance.

Requirements:

A BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience as a software engineer working on distributed systems.
Extensive hands-on experience in the architecture, design, and development of enterprise applications, integrations, and data infrastructure is necessary.
Experience in designing, developing, debugging, and operating resilient distributed systems is required.
Candidates should have experience managing large, complex systems in the cloud.
A proven track record in delivering efficient, scalable, reliable, and maintainable customer-facing systems on time is essential.
Initiative and the ability to impact the larger organization are important traits.
Strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule, are required.
Deep hands-on expertise in one or more server-side languages such as Java, Python, Go, Scala, or Rust is necessary.
Extensive experience in designing, building, and integrating with RESTful APIs is required.
Experience in designing and scaling relational and NoSQL database platforms (e.g., MySQL, Postgres, Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticache) is necessary.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS or GCP is required.
Experience in building high volume, high performance, and highly available SaaS or consumer-facing products is essential.
Previous startup experience is strongly preferred.
