Remote Sr Software Engineer (Java)

Description:

• Buyers Edge Platform is seeking a Sr Software Engineer (Java) for a full-time, remotely based opportunity.
• The role involves building functionality for a FinTech back-office restaurant accounting software module that includes food cost management and payroll.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Java programming.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with cloud-based systems is required.
• Full stack development experience with either React or Angular is necessary.
• Experience working with relational databases, preferably MySQL, is essential.
• Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is required.
• Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• Experience in a startup or FinTech environment is a significant plus.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux, JIRA/Confluence, AWS, Redshift, JPA, Git, and document databases (like Raven DB or Mongo DB) is considered a "nice to have."
