The Sr Software Engineer - Lead position at SpyCloud in Austin, Texas, or remote, involves working on disrupting cybercrime by developing and deploying new frontend and backend products and features.
The role requires providing technical direction, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with Product Management to drive product development forward.
The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in team leadership, strong frontend development skills, and expertise in web, front-end, and server concepts.
Technologies used include Javascript (Typescript / Nodejs / React / Remix, MaterialUI), Python (FastAPI), Postgres, DynamoDB, Redis, AWS (ECS, RDS, SQS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway), OAuth, Auth0, Terraform, and Git.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and testing new products, providing early pragmatic designs, and coaching team members.
Performance indicators include successful delivery of products, timely results, effective technical feedback, positive team impact, and adoption of best practices.

At least 10 years of professional experience in delivering high-quality production software.
At least 5 years of experience leading teams from inception designs to production delivery.
Strong working knowledge and 5 years of experience with frontend development.
Expert understanding of web, front-end, and server concepts.
Experience with Python, relational databases, MVC web frameworks, AWS, and Git.
Proficiency in security and authentication best practices.
