Remote Sr. Software Engineer, Payments

Description:

• Vimeo’s Payments team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale their Payments Platform.
• The Payments Platform is essential for the sale of all products and services on Vimeo, handling pricing, packaging, checkout experience, subscription management, fraud prevention, internal tooling, and payment operations.

• Responsibilities include collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to move key projects from conception to launch, developing, testing, deploying, and monitoring software on the Payments Platform, and improving tooling to identify and debug production issues across multiple levels of the stack.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience with at least one server-side programming language such as PHP, Python, Go, Java, Ruby, or Node.
• Knowledge of relational database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server and data modeling techniques is required.
• Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies is necessary.
• The ability to mentor and support junior engineers is essential.
• Candidates should be able to collaborate respectfully and effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• A keen eye for detail is important; candidates should be able to catch bugs frequently and provide meaningful feedback on the technical complexity of proposed solutions.
• Bonus points for experience in front-end web development (React, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS), integrating with 3rd party APIs, and developing with Restful APIs.

• The targeted base salary range for this position is $127,800 to $196,000, depending on various factors including experience and skills.
