Remote Sr. Software Engineer, Platform

Description:

• ExtraHop is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop features and components for their network detection and response (NDR) technology.
• The role involves leading junior team members and working at the foundation level of the company's appliances and cloud offerings.
• Responsibilities include maintaining high standards in code reviews, designing and owning the development of features, and collaborating with various teams to implement new features.
• The engineer will provide technical leadership, mentor junior members, and participate in agile development methodologies.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience designing and implementing backend infrastructure components.
• Proficiency in back-end languages such as Python, Golang, Rust, or C/C++ is required.
• Experience with CPU, network, or storage performance analysis and tuning on Linux is necessary.
• Familiarity with cryptography principles and authentication/authorization technologies like SAML, OAuth, OIDC, Kerberos, or LDAP/Active Directory is essential.
• Applicants should have a strong understanding of new network technologies and experience leading or mentoring team members.
• Strong communication skills are required.
