Jobgether is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer – Reference Data to work remotely in the United States.
This role focuses on building and optimizing scalable data infrastructure for high-impact financial products.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Reference Data team, you will collaborate cross-functionally to develop solutions that reconcile, curate, and align public and alternative investment data.
You will contribute to the design and implementation of key platform capabilities that deliver accurate, actionable insights for investment portfolios.
The position requires a strong background in data architecture, distributed systems, and a hands-on approach to solving complex engineering challenges.
Key accountabilities include partnering with teams to design and deploy scalable data solutions, building reliable services using Python, PySpark, and Java, and evolving platform architecture to meet business needs.
You will also drive best practices in software engineering, mentor team members, and ensure data platform capabilities align with user needs and company objectives.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly with large-scale distributed systems.
Proficiency in Python or Java is essential, along with experience in microservices architecture.
Strong knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL), data lakes, and OLAP systems is necessary.
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to own complex technical projects involving multiple teams.
Comfort with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and containerized environments (Kubernetes) is required.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with a growth mindset and interest in big data systems, are essential.

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $126,000 to $197,000, depending on location and experience.
