Remote Sr. Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

Description:

• The Sr. Software Engineer will be responsible for building a high-quality, stable, secure, and well-tested web application using Ruby on Rails and React.
• They will apply database skills to a large and expanding dataset and use code decomposition patterns to deliver solutions.
• Working closely with designers, product managers, developers, and partners, they will track metrics to make informed decisions.
• The role involves mentoring other engineers, ensuring quality releases by writing tests, and following agile best practices.
• Quarterly weeks of creativity allow engineers to address real customer issues and collaborate on complex topics and architecture.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of programming experience in a web environment.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience using Ruby on Rails.
• Experience working in an agile environment and understanding software architecture best practices.
• Opinionated about application development based on software delivery experience.
• Prior experience in pairing or mentoring and balancing development with collaborative meetings.
