Description:

Mysten Labs is creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of decentralized protocols based on blockchain technologies.
The Walrus Core team is responsible for building Walrus, an efficient decentralized storage network.
The team focuses on developing the software that powers Walrus’ storage nodes and its infrastructure.
The role involves ensuring the safety-critical core of the Walrus network is maintained.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining Walrus core, including storage node, client software, smart contracts, and toolchains.
Collaboration with research, cryptography, production, security teams, and Sui core teams is essential to keep the Walrus network secure, performant, and reliable.
The position requires optimizing existing systems for scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
The role also involves integrating new features and technologies with other teams at Mysten Labs.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5 years of experience in systems and/or network programming, ideally in Rust, C, or C++.
Experience in designing and developing systems in areas such as distributed systems, consensus protocols, storage/database systems, high-performance systems, or networking protocols is required.
Production experience is necessary, including operating and managing production systems, proficiency in system monitoring and alerting, with a strong focus on reliability.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Proven ability to drive complex projects to completion is essential.
