The Sr. Solutions Engineer will assist partner account executives in deal qualification by comparing customer needs with product capabilities.
This role involves leading the sales team response to customer RFPs and RFIs, and conducting due diligence assessments.
The engineer will collaborate with sales account executives on opportunities such as renewals, add-ons, upsells, and new logos.
Responsibilities include leading customer meetings to document business requirements, collaborating with Product and InfoSec teams, and working with solution architects to design solutions.
The position requires preparing sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
The engineer must maintain a high level of knowledge about Smarsh products, technology stack, AWS cloud environment, and the target market.
The role demands the ability to identify deal risks and opportunities, and to manage multiple sales deals simultaneously.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational experience is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of technical presales experience in a B2B SaaS company.
A minimum of 5 years of experience selling to large Enterprises, preferably in regulated financial services, is necessary.
Strong project management skills are essential.
The candidate should possess the ability to maintain a positive attitude in a high-pressure sales environment.
A desire for continuous learning and improvement is important.
The ability to communicate effectively and understand the underlying technology of Smarsh products is required.
Candidates must be able to understand market attributes and competitive landscapes to effectively position Smarsh solutions.
